Ryan McKelvie was named as an Assistant Coach at the University of Alaska-Anchorage this past summer. Prior to Ryan’s move to Alaska, he was the Associate Head Coach at Wenatchee in the NAHL. Susannah Brokl is currently in China teaching English to Chinese children. Julie Friend (Minnetonka) has signed a letter of intent to play college hockey next year for St. Cloud State University. In August , Shea Noerenberg (Orono HS) and Nikki Erickson (Rogers HS) traveled out East and played in the Hockey Night In Boston Showcase for Team Minnesota. Chris McKelvie is playing his first season of professional hockey for the Connecticut Whale of the AHL. The Whale is an affiliate of the New York Rangers. Joe Carney (WayWay) has committed to play next season at St. Olaf College. Lauren Bazzachini, Laura Nicholson and Christine Teasdale were named Captain’s of the Minnehaha Academy Saints. Lauren Bazzachini has gone early decision and committed to play at St. Olaf college next year. Katie Bennett is in her final year of law school and was named an assistant coach for the St. Paul United Girls hockey team. The Delano Boys hockey team has named Jake Brieg as one of their Captains for the upcoming season. Courtney Nelson has been named Captain of the Spring Lake Park Girls team.
